The Endocare program is our proprietary, science-based weight loss program designed to empower our patients to take control of their health. It is physician-led, medicated and closely accompanied by our health coaches. Over the course of 6 to 9 months, you will be prescribed modern GLP-1 weight loss medication while closely working with our expert doctors and coaches to develop a host of healthy habits. Our combined treatment approach creates improved results that last.
While our weight loss program is mostly suitable for patients with a body mass index (BMI) of 27 and above, we can help you with your weight goals even if you are at a lower BMI. During your first consultation you will discuss your unique needs and design a plan with our doctor and health coach.
Every journey is unique, and we are here to support you in achieving your most optimal weight. Typically, the combination of GLP-1 medication with healthy lifestyle changes leads to a weight loss of around 20% of body weight, over the course of 6-9 months.
Our medical director Dr Hecham Harb is a senior endocrinology consultant and expert in obesity, with over 20 years of experience across Australia, Europe and the Middle East. Moreover, our medical advisor Prof Filip Knop is professor of endocrinology at the Department of Clinical Medicine at the University of Copenhagen and has over 20 years of experience in cutting edge obesity research and treatments. Yes, Endocare will reimburse patients who did not lose at least 10% weight after completing six months on the weight loss program despite providing evidence for taking medication as advised by the doctor and rigorously following through with the lifestyle changes as recommended by the health coaches.
GLP-1 medication, such as Mounjaro, Ozempic, Wegovy, when combined with healthy lifestyle changes, is a safe, effective, and sustainable weight loss method. Our patients lose around 20% of their body weight by using this dual approach.
We prescribe GLP-1 medications that are approved by international and UAE regulatory bodies and clinically tested for safety and efficacy. GLP-1 is a naturally occurring hormone in the body. It is produced in the gut and signals your brain to reduce your appetite as well as improve your metabolic health.
GLP-1 medication prescribed by Endocare can be taken at the same time as other medication. Please inform your doctor about other medications you take during your first consultation.
Some patients may experience mild side effects, mainly gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea. Others may encounter adverse reactions including headaches, injection site reactions and nasopharyngitis. But don’t worry: During our regular coaching and consultation sessions, you will be able to discuss any possible side effects and, if required, adjust the dose of the medication.
